Method: Native UI checks on macOS 26.5 with one synthetic 480 × 240 PNG. Claude 2.26454.2 accepted a file attachment and clipboard image; Cursor 3.24.4 accepted a clipboard image. No messages were sent and the attachments were removed. Other listed clients, auto-paste, other formats and model interpretation were not verified in this run.

A desktop app, a browser chat, and a terminal can accept different clipboard formats even when they use the same model. Pick the client and input first, then check whether your screenshot arrives there.

## What we verified

On October 7, 2026, we used one synthetic 480 × 240 PNG with three colored tiles on macOS 26.5. We copied the image from Preview and pasted it into an empty prompt. A pass means the client displayed an image attachment in the unsent draft. We removed each attachment afterward.
