Mac screenshot shortcuts are the same across Mac models, but Mac Pro setups can involve up to eight high-resolution displays, very large image files, remote or headless systems, GPU-intensive workflows, and different Intel and Apple Silicon display configurations. ## The three keyboard shortcuts every Mac Pro user needs | Shortcut | What it captures | | --- | --- | | `Cmd+Shift+3` | Full screen; creates one file per connected display | | `Cmd+Shift+4` | Selected area; drag a crosshair to define the region | | `Cmd+Shift+4`, then `Space` | Specific window or menu; click the highlighted window | By default, every shortcut saves a PNG file to the Desktop.
