# Send the Right Screenshot to Your AI

Capture the problem, add context, and choose where it goes. This workflow guide explains how to prepare screenshots for coding, design, and product-review conversations with AI.

## Choose the task

| Task | Capture | Add | Send to |

## Use what is already on your Mac

Press `Control + Command + Shift + 4` to copy a selected area. Open a chat that accepts images, focus its input, press `Command + V`, and check the attachment before sending.

## Make repeated captures quicker

1. In LazyScreenshots, choose the destination app.
2. Press `Command + Shift + 2` and select the region.
3. Check that the image arrived in the intended conversation. Add your request, then send it yourself.

Use our annotation workflow before sharing when markup is needed. Auto-paste requires a compatible image input and the required macOS permissions. A screenshot attachment alone does not tell the assistant what to change.

## A useful request

> Fix the spacing marked in this screenshot at 390px width. Keep the desktop layout and existing copy. Explain the cause, make the smallest change, and show the result.
